So. Here we are. First blog post. First real "hello" from me to you.
I'm not going to pretend I'm cool and collected about this, because I'm not - I'm genuinely giddy. The kind of giddy where you check the tracking number four times a day even though it hasn't moved. Because right now, in various stages of transit to my house, is the actual physical equipment that's going to make Blades & Bookmarks real: the heat press, the transfer sheets, the label printer, the tagging gun. Boxes full of "this brand is actually happening" are showing up on my doorstep one courier van at a time, and every single one makes it feel more real.
We're getting close. Not "someday" close - actually close.
Why This Exists
Here's the honest version: I'm a reader and a gamer, and neither of those things shows up on my face. You can't look at me and know that I have opinions about deck builds, or that I've cried over a book at 2am, or that "hey, listen!" makes me flinch on instinct. Those things are core to who I am, and for a long time I felt like I had to pick a lane - be the reader brand or the gamer brand, pick a tribe, choose a side.
I got tired of choosing. So I started building the thing that doesn't make you choose either.
That's the whole idea behind Blades & Bookmarks: never just one or the other. You don't have to pick between the person who annotates their romantasy paperbacks and the person who rage-quits at 1am. You can be both, loudly, proudly.
Who This Is For
Honestly? You. If you're reading this, you probably already know.
This is for the villain-coded romantasy girlies. The cozy-gamer-x-dark-academia crossover people. The rogue-like masochists who call getting demolished by a boss "fun." The TCG players who froth over a good chase card pull. The readers who game and the gamers who read, who've never found a brand that spoke to both halves of them at once - because most brands pick a side and stay there.
This isn't costume-y, it isn't juvenile, and it isn't going to make you look like you wandered out of a con. It's daily wear for people whose identity runs deeper than what's visible at a glance. If you know, you know. And if you know, you're exactly who I built this for.
What's Coming
Equipment's arriving. Designs are locked. The Season One collection is taking shape, and there's going to be a limited edition piece in the mix too - so if you like knowing your gear is genuinely one of a kind, keep an eye out.
